Kleresca® Acne Treatment

Acne can be painful and distressing. We believe it’s important that acne treatment isn’t.

Kleresca® Acne Treatment is an effective, new acne treatment with demonstrated long-lasting efficacy and minimal safety issues.

What is Kleresca® Acne Treatment?

Kleresca® is a breakthrough BioPhotonic treatment that improves your acne. It’s only available in professional clinics. By harnessing the power of BioPhotonics, Kleresca® safely treats your acne and stimulates your tissue’s repair systems.

Kleresca® Acne Treatment uses a high intensity lamp with a photoconverter gel. The topical gel that is applied is illuminated under a multi-wavelength LED light for nine minutes. This kills the bacteria in your skin and starts the healing process. Kleresca® Acne Treatment is given twice a week over a 6 week period.

What is BioPhotonics Treatment?

BioPhotonics is designed to stimulate your skin’s own repair at the cellular level by using a unique light conversion system. The multi-wavelength LED light is combined with a photoconverter gel. With the gel on your skin, the spectrum of wavelengths penetrate it, kill bacteria and stimulate your skin’s own repair systems.

Kleresca® Acne Treatment effectively treats your acne, while encouraging the formation of collagen. This renewal process helps your acne scarring to repair.

Who is Kleresca® Acne Treatment for?

Kleresca® is an effective and safe treatment for all kinds of acne, even severe acne. We can determine whether Kleresca® is right for you. Contact our highly trained, experienced dermatologist here (03) 9654 2426.

What happens during Kleresca® Acne Treatment?

Before we start your treatment, we thoroughly cleanse your skin. The Kleresca® gel is then applied to your face and photo-activated using a multi-wavelength LED lamp.

During the treatment, your skin will feel warm. Our patients report that they find Kleresca® Acne Treatment comfortable and pleasant. After nine minutes under the multi-wavelength LED lamp, the gel is removed. After your Kleresca® treatment, your complexion may be red.

When can you expect to see results from Kleresca® Acne Treatment?

During the six-week treatment course of Kleresca® you should see noticeable improvements to your skin when the deeper layers of your skin repair. Patients have reported seeing additional improvements to their complexion for at least 6 months after their treatment.

How safe is Kleresca® treatment?

Because the Kleresca® treatment takes place on your skin, it’s not metabolised or absorbed. This makes the acne treatment very well tolerated with clinical trials showing high safety without serious adverse effects. Patients reported that the Kleresca® treatment was a comfortable and pleasant experience.

The side effects in people treated with Kleresca® includes redness and hyperpigmentation (bronzing of an area of the skin) and a slight discoloration of hair. These side effects were transient with no clinical intervention being required.

What is the science behind Kleresca® Acne Treatment?

Kleresca® showed high efficacy on people with moderate to severe acne in clinical trials. Nine out of ten people saw improvements to their skin with every third person attaining clear or almost clear skin.

In an extended Kleresca® clinical trial, 92% of the participants who had previously accomplished an improvement of two grades or more on the Investigators’ Global Assessment (IGA) scale for acne severity maintained this improvement. These improvements were maintained for at least six months with none of the trial participants returning to their original acne severity.
